CAMPING @ Frontenac
For Eva...Evidence of Stanley occupying the whole of the back seat and the girls had to squeeze in front!!!
Setting up the tent
Our lovely shelter for the two chilling nights
Setting up the campfire which is always such a tedious affair that makes our food seem so tasty after the long wait..
We even had to hang on to keep our fire going in the midst of the rain
Our campsite with our rented MPV ...which even had a dvd player inside!! We thought of watching dvds at night though we never really did get to that part since all of us just passed out at about 11pm...after all the washing up.
Deprived of sleep...maybe we should have just slept in the car...
Summary of trip: We canoed. we hiked. we saw some spectacular stretch of greens.we counted the stars at night. we saw shooting stars across the sky. we saw 2 deers crossing the road, 3 wild hares including one that went into our tent, 2 rats, 2 snakes, countless caterpillars in the cocoon and crickets in the grassland. we built campfires 5 times. we (or maybe just me) had to sleep through 2 cold cold nights and stared at the pitch darkness and withnessed the sunrise from the tent.
