GOD'S PLAY AND MAN'S CREATION

I have got three mosquito bites - one on my hand, another about 10cm away from my elbow and the last one is on the side of my lower leg. All of which happens to be on the right side of my body. The good news being that thank god to people or the mosquitoes with the eye for asymmetry, the marks on me looks perfectly like a good piece of art now. However, everything comes with a price to pay and the bad news is that it's beginning to start making me feel like a monkey, trying to scratch those three deadly bites. Everytime I try to ignore them, the itch just got worse and somehow, they seem to have spread to the rest of the body and making me scratch everywhere.

It's been such a long time since I've got mosquito bites. To think that I actually got them here in Montreal! I guess the mosquitos here just need to make me wake up and realise that they are in no way inferior to the ones in our tropical island!

Now that I'm getting all these bites, I'm beginning to relive the times when my grandma's house had so many mosquitoes that we ( my cousins and I) can actually play with different techniques of catching mosquitoes. The traditional two hand clap was far too easy and non challenging for us. After some time, we upgraded to one hand slapping against the wall which did not prove to be a very popular method for us as it will often leave behind the flattened corpse with blood stain on our white-wasked wall. Then, somebody started catching the mosquitoes with one hand and the rest of us began to follow suit. At that time, mosquitoes seemed to have provided us with another form of game to play other than our usual hide-and-seek or catching.
Or if we were to get bitten and have those lumpy bites on our body like what I have now, we will use our nails to etch out faces or flowers on the lumps. Those were the times when we can still indulge in playing even in the moments of pain and irritance!

Well...maybe I should learn from then!!! There...that's what I call the PLAY of GOD with a stroke of boredom is MAN"S CREATION ---- my happy face on the lumpy bite!!!
