Maybe. But on closer look, you realise that the building are too far apart and the roads are not narrow enough to qualify as a hongkong neighbourhood.
Taken from my friend's apartment in one of the most getto-like area in Montreal - the Concordia ghetto, you just have to tell yourself sometimes that globalisation does have its influence the other way round too. Not only is the western culture gaining foothold in Asia, the asian lifestyle is fast invading into the western parts too. The concordia ghetto which is pretty much dominated by a large proportion of chinese or asians does seem to be making its way up, up and higher, closer and closer together....Perhaps that's the way we learn to forge our bonds?
